British Isles
June
Pros: Amazing Crew, Superb Food, Good Entertainment
Cons: Public spaces were a bit warm
Recommended: Yes
I was fortunate to sample all of the Dining venues and enjoyed them all. SeiShin was a wonderfully delicious surprise and probably my favorite. The variety in Indochine was also wonderful. Room was very comfortable and kept spotless by our cabin steward. I did not really make use of the Butler service, except for coffee delivery on a few mornings. Entertainment crew put on several terrific shows. In addition, local acts were brought onboard. The Irish stepdancers and the Scottish Highland dancers and bagpipers were fantastic. I really enjoyed the great piano/vocalist duo in the Silver Note.

Pampered at Sea
May
Pros: Included excursions, pampered treatment, restful environment, great ports and overnight stay in Sorrento
Cons: one show per night
Recommended: No
My Mediterranean cruise on the Silver Spirit was amazing. I felt pampered from the minute I stepped on to the ship. Boarding a small cruise ship of about 600 passengers was so different than boarding a giant cruise ship. It was calm, quick and easy. Having a butler was something I never thought I would experience, but it was delightful. Shore excursions are included and we got to choose between several in each port. All our guides were wonderful and having the excursions included saved us a lot of money! Small ship cruising is definitely the way to go. Silversea gets my vote.

Namibia & South Africa
January
Pros: Silversea Cruises includes free shore excursions. The ship's complementary wines, (and wine service),were exemplary, and well-appreciated by the guests.
Cons: Only 3 Guest Entertainers for a 15-day cruise. Only four "orchestra" musicians. Too many formal and informal nights. Very sub-standard/problematic TV remote controls. Only (Silversea) ship to have ONE unisex sauna, steam room, shower (with no lockers). No stateroom night lights. No afternoon tea.

Pros: Butler, all-inclusivity, intimate ships, quiet, the room service setup with table, tablecloth and cutlery was a joyous find!
Cons: not all excursions are included, not all dining venues are included, shows could use a bit more pizazz

Beautiful, but not entertaining
October
Pros: Spacious rooms and delicious restaurants
Cons: Entertainment was sub-par.
Recommended: Yes
Staterooms were quite spacious with walk-in closets and bathtubs. The dining rooms were outstanding. Because of that, the specialty restaurants couldn't justify the additional charge. The shows were poorly attended, and there wasn't anything to do after dinner.

April
Pros: Service
Cons: Restaurant confusion
Recommended: Yes
Suites were large and well appointed, LOTS of storage. Service impeccable. I think they have too many restaurants, and they have an image problem with Indochine which was the 2nd of the 'open' (non reservation) restaurants. The decor was contemporary, not what we want for a fine dining restaurant. Nobody wanted to go there, even with great service, they wanted Atlantide. I would also like entertainment at other times of the day than 9:30 at night. The performers were wonderful. More events on board during the day would be nice, not just games. But, we had no sea days so not as much going on
