Ascend Mount Floyen on a funicular ride to the top, where you take in stunning views of Bergen and its archipelago. Proceed to the Schotstuene, where the Hanseatic League, the once-powerful medieval trade guild founded in 1350, used to gather during winter. Next, explore Troldhaugen, the one-time home of composer Edvard Grieg, now a museum displaying artifacts of his life and wonderful compositions, which include In the Hall of the Mountain King and Morning Mood, which he wrote for Henrik Ibsen’s play Peer Gynt.
